Bio-ComfyUI

A wasp-nest "Structure-Code DNA" for AI-generated structure.

A four-layer generative logic drawn from wasp-nest morphology: a "Structure-Code DNA" linking biological form to a trained LoRA and Karamba structural feedback. The nest is non-modular: it answers to place, not to a kit. Tested in waste plastic / wood-fibre prints.

First-author paper, CAADRIA 2026 (ID 57).

Bio-ComfyUI grew from one question: can generative AI produce structure you can actually build, not just images that look plausible? It keeps Karamba structural feedback inside the generation loop rather than bolted on afterwards, so the wasp-nest “Structure-Code DNA” stays buildable. The forms here are tested as waste-plastic and wood-fibre prints; the metal-printed pieces later shown at AA Milan grew from the same line of work.
